Our top of the line system has separate day and
night viewable displays, a rock proof cast aluminum
enclosure, four programmable alarm outputs, overfill
warning, and an output to drive the 815 SpillStop.
This gauge has a selectable resolution of 1/6"
or 1/3". |

Microprocessor based technology provides resolution
of 1/6 or 1/3 inch, selectable at time of
installation. |
 |
The display can be calibrated with the 916 programmer
to read in inches of level, or in volume units such as
cubic metres, litres, barrels or gallons.
|
 |
Four alarm points available that can be used to
operate the SpillStop
overfill prevention system and/or the MultiRack
optic/thermistor loading rack controller.
|
 |
Simple overfill alarm, which can activate a horn or a
light, can be bypassed by closing and opening the lid.
|
 |
High reliability - no moving parts except for the
molded plastic float.

 |
The gauge operates using a magnetic reed switch sensor
bar detecting the float magnetic field. The system
provides a nominal accuracy of +/- 1/12 inch, but with
variations in reed switch sensitivities the actual
accuracy is +/- 1/8 inch.
|
 |
When the float is rising, the gauge will read about
1/16 inch lower than when the float is falling. This
happens because the reed switches are less sensitive
to engagement than they are to disengagement. The
practical result of this is that the gauge reading is
very stable and does not flicker with small ripples on
the surface of the product.
|
 |
A 316 stainless steel seamless tube houses the sensor
bar, and the fittings holding the tube in place can be
steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, depending on the
tank material. The stainless steel tube and
polyethylene float are resistant to oils, fuels,
acids, and most chemicals. The sensor bar is fully
sealed to prevent moisture or product from damaging
the bar. The bar can be cut to length to accommodate
any size tank up to 85 inches in height. The bar can
be easily removed for servicing, or to install into
another trailer.
|
 |
The circuitry in the sensor bar is powered by a
lithium battery with a lifetime of approximately 10
years.
|
 |
Plastic fibre optic cable transports the information
from the sensor bar to the display to provide complete
electrical isolation for the components inside the
tank. The fibre optic light level is ten times higher
than required, so the fibre can be cut with a knife
for easy installation; no polishing or special
preparation is required.
|
 |
The entire display is powered by 4 AA cells giving 2
to 3 years of life. The LEDs only operate at night,
and then only with the lid open, to preserve battery
life. The display is built in a heavy duty cast
aluminum box, which is weatherproof and able to resist
road debris without damage.
|
 |
The LCD and LED are large enough to allowing display
viewing from up to 25 feet away in all lighting
conditions.
|
 |
The gauge calibration is programmed during
installation with the 916 programmer. The calibration
can be done in inches of level, or in any volume unit
desired, as long as a calibration table (volume vs.
depth) is available for the tank. The display has four
digits, allowing better than 1/4 % accuracy on the
readout.
|
 |
The four alarms are programmed with the 916 programmer
during installation, and can be altered at a later
date if desired. A new feature permits a simple alarm
to be operated and then bypassed by closing and
opening the lid of the display. The alarm will
automatically reset when the tank is empty.
|
 |
The SeeLeveL gauge can be used with other Garnet
products to improve safety, economy, and convenience.
The SpillStop overfill prevention system provides an
automatic horn warning and pump shut down to prevent
spills when loading with truck mounted PTO driven
pumps. The MultiRack rack controller provides optic
and thermistor loading rack control to permit loading
at rack controlled facilities.
