Truck Grounding Controller for Vehicle Ground Verification
Designed for Flammable Liquid Transfer
Key Features & Benefits
Model 672-H
The SeeLeveL PosiGround ™ Truck Grounding Control System helps prevent fires and explosions caused by a static discharge that builds up during the transfer of flammable liquids. Monitors the ground status and can be set for either 250-ohm high-resistance range or a 10-ohm low resistance range; activates alarms if the ground connection is lost during transfer.
- Verifies that the truck is grounded
- Operates from standard 12 VDC truck power
- Displays the actual ohms level of resistance
- High (250 ohms) or low (10 ohms) resistance range
- Serial port connector for RS-232 communications with a computer or PLC
- Built-in diagnostics
- Warning horn and final alarm
Operation Overview
The SeeLeveL PosiGround™ system operates by connecting one clamp to a grounded metal object and the other to a second grounded metal object at least 20 feet away. Ideally, both objects should have a buried portion. The display will indicate when a valid ground is detected and loading or unloading has not yet started. Ground resistance can also be viewed on the display if required.
If loading begins before a ground connection is established, or if the ground connection is lost during operation, a warning horn will sound. If the connection is not made or restored within the preset time, the final alarm will activate. After loading is complete, shut down the loading system and disconnect the ground clamps.
