Pressure Switch & Valve Monitoring Matters

Critical systems such as pressure switches, valves, safety interlocks, and permit controls must work together throughout loading, transport, and unloading operations. Monitoring these functions helps operators verify system status, improve operational awareness, and respond quickly to changing conditions. SeeLeveL TrailerPlex™ brings these critical inputs and controls together in a single configurable platform, providing greater visibility, enhanced safety, and improved control of tank trailer operations.

Key Features & Benefits

SeeLeveL TrailerPlex - colored

Model 818

The SeeLeveL TrailerPlex™ 818 is a multi-purpose monitoring system that monitors up to eight pressure switch inputs and provides a permit signal for safe pump operation during loading and unloading.

The SeeLeveL TrailerPlex™ also functions as a liquid volume and temperature monitor.is a high-accuracy tank monitoring system for tank trucks carrying flammable or non-flammable liquids. It connects to the sender using fiber optic technology to help prevent the risk of sparking in safety-critical environments. The fiber optic cable can be cut and terminated without special tools or equipment, making installation simple and efficient. It also features Bluetooth® connectivity, onboard data logging, and communication outputs for integration with vehicle and fleet monitoring systems.

Operation Overview

The SeeLeveL TrailerPlex™ 818  is designed to enhance safety and help prevent operator error during loading and unloading operations. The SeeLeveL TrailerPlex™ (1) monitors up to eight ground switch inputs, pre-labeled for three valves, three vents, one load line, and one tank. It issues a permit signal only when all switches confirm a safe state or are disabled, allowing pump operations to proceed. An LED indicator for each input is displayed directly on the gauge face, so operators can quickly assess system readiness. If any switch enters an unsafe state, the module generates a fault, disables the permit signal, and requires manual fault clearance using the side-mounted button. If desired, the 818 can also monitor a PTO signal and an external 4–20 mA pressure transducer. Both or either of these can be included in the permit signal determination.

The 818 also functions as a liquid volume gauge with a 4-digit LED display that continuously shows the liquid volume and temperature in the tank. Finally, the 818 can be configured to require the operator to actively press a button to maintain system operation, ensuring continued attention during the loading process.  Using a vertically mounted 810-TX Sender Bar (2), the system continuously measures liquid level and temperature and transmits the data via fiber optic cable to the display.
